Bid for Peace 2017 is here! Register by July 6 to guarantee jersey size.

Hat Tournament

This year's hat tournament will be at Louisiana Oaks Park in St. Louis Park on July 29th starting at 8:30am. There will also be a raffle, UP merchandise for sale, and free tournament food for participants at the fields.

After Party

Join us after the tournament at the Park Tavern to celebrate in the spirit of Ultimate Peace. Meet new people, create new bonds of friendship and respect, and see what you have to learn from your peers.

Details

The cost is $45 per person, or $40 for registrants 18 and under. Entrance fee includes 4 games, a reversible tank, a UP wristband, and the knowledge that you are supporting a great cause!

Ultimate Peace

Ultimate Peace is a non-profit organization fostering community through the joy of throwing a disc. UP offers camps and year round programs geared to bring kids from different backgrounds together through the sport of Ultimate.

"To build bridges of friendship, understanding and fun for youth from different social and cultural backgrounds around the world."

UP began fulfilling their mission in the Middle East in 2009, and has recently begun offering camps in Colombia. They have been widely recognized in Israel and internationally for making a sustainable positive difference in the communities they work with.

In ultimate, "to bid," means to lay out, to unreasonably sacrifice your body for your team and the game and ultimately something bigger than yourself. We bid because we can't get enough of that plastic, because we get a rush when we close our eyes and envision being muddy, on the ground - disc in hand.

"To bid," outside the ultimate world, means to put money down for something, put a stake in something you want enough to commit to it, something you believe in even.

When we ask you to donate to Bid for Peace, we are asking you to bid, keeping both of these definitions in mind. Bid and reach for something greater than yourself. Bid out of the love of all things ultimate. Bid because you believe and would bet money on the fact that our small but mighty sport has the power to change the world for the better - starting with the next generation in the Middle East.
